Called the "ancient way of beauty" in Japan, kobido was a massage originally reserved for empresses, then geishas, to take care of their faces.
The art of Kobido, the ancestor of shiatsu, was born from the confrontation of the two most famous masters of Anma (Anma means to calm by touch) at the request of the empress in 1472. C
It is organised around 5 traditional phases:
- Purification of the skin
- Toning of the facial muscles
- Lifting massage
- Hydration
- Natural elimination of toxins.
- Collagen production
- Increases self-confidence and self-esteem.
The essence of Kobido Massage is based on the use of the fingers and hands and the tactful sensitivity of the therapist.
It is practiced on the face and more globally from the head to the neck, sometimes up to the shoulders as well as the hands and forearms, with oil or cream.
Relaxation of the face with deep massage, pinching, beating, percussion and vibration.
Followed by the activation of the Tsubos (acupuncture points) by digitopression.
And to finalize the facial gym with the Gua Sha which is part of the lithotherapy treatments.
Beyond an aesthetic modelling of the face, Kobido offers a feeling of stretching and a general state of well-being.
It is a method of deep relaxation and acts on emotional tensions.
It can be complemented by a daily self-massage between each session to prolong the youthful and anti-stress effect of the treatment.
After a Kobido massage, the face is hydrated, toned and energised.
The muscles are freed of all their tension and tightness.
A more open and luminous face.
